Outside Sales Associate

Full Time Seasonal Position: Horticultural degree required. Must be able to work weekday and weekend hours outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more frequently. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent person to person communication. Must be task-oriented, customer-oriented and able to follow directions. Duties include assisting with customers in the outside sales department, selling outside plant material, including trees, shrubs, perennials, etc., selling blocks, rocks, and bulk materials and organizing the outside sales area on daily basis.

Loader/Yard Attendent

Full Time Seasonal Position: Must be able to work weekday and weekend hours outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent person to person communication. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more frequently. Must be customer-oriented, task-oriented and able to follow directions.

Duties include loading bulk materials for customer and, employee needs, in charge of sales and stock of bulk and hard good materials, organizing pallet materials on yard lot and bag shed, keeping all yard bulk and pallet areas, organized, and communicating with hard goods buyer.

Landscape Laborers/Crew Leaders

Full time position. Must be 18, and posses a valid Missouri driver's license and able to obtain a chauffeur's license. Able to work outside for extended periods of time in hot or cold weather. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift. Must understand the importance of quality workmanship. Must be able to work directly with Landscape Foreman as well as Landscape Designers in implementing plans and blueprints for commercial and residential projects. Must be able to provide leadership for 1-5 laborers at a given time. Must be able to operate several types of landscape related equipment. Must be knowledgeable in most current landscape practices. This position/positions will require a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the landscape industry.

Wages will be based on experience, benefits included after probation period including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, paid vacation sick days and holiday pay.

Landscape Maintenance Laborers/Crew Leaders

Must be 18, and possess a valid Missouri driver's license and able to obtain a chauffeur's license. Able to work outside for extended periods of time in hot or cold weather. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift. Must understand the importance of quality workmanship. Must be able to work independently for extended periods of time. Knowledge of a Lawn Program and products would be helpful but is not required.

Lawn Care Maintenance (1 year)

Irrigation Technician

JOB PURPOSE: Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates power equipment and hand tools to install, maintain and repair irrigation systems and related components including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, etc. Checks system for proper operation and timing. May participate in the design or modification of new or existing systems.  Performs seasonal maintenance such as system charging and draining. Maintains inventory of related parts and supplies. May lead workers on irrigation projects and work on other grounds related assignments as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods of irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and drawings. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to operate equipment such as trenching machines and digging tools and other related grounds/landscape equipment. Ability to read and write in English and possess good math skills. Ability to lead and direct the work of others.  Ability to work in safe and efficient manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or GED 

EXPERIENCE: Two years irrigation installation and maintenance experience.

Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing off and on equipment, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift, talking, hearing, and seeing.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Spends most time outdoors, frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures for one hour plus. Possible exposure to distraction/uncomfortable noise levels and vibration of body or extremities. Risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, etc. Possible exposure to fumes, odors, etc. that may affect respiration and skin.
